This evening, we examine a striking paradox found in Scripture. The very religious
leaders, those entrusted with guiding God’s people and who should have been the first to
identify Jesus as the Messiah, failed to recognize Him. However, spiritual
demons—beings of darkness—immediately discerned who He was and publicly
proclaimed the truth of the gospel.
What, then, was Jesus’ response to the truth proclaimed by these forces of darkness? As
we study the passage, we will uncover essential principles that Jesus Himself teaches
through His interaction with these spiritual realities. These truths challenge us to reflect
on the nature of true faith, spiritual authority, and the power of Christ over all realms.
