Without repentance and spiritual awakening, nations fall by the wayside. Despite glorious victories (9/17/23 lesson) and humiliating defeat due to sin (10/1/23 lesson), they continued to fall into sin and idolatry, leading to harsh servitude. But God remained faithful!
